Dorothy Merriman

Former Seminole resident Dorothy Dean Merriman passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2006 at the age of 80 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.rnrnShe was born on January 8, 1926 in Collinsville, Texas to Squire Curtis and Alma Lucille (Ogle) Umsted.rnrnShe was a retired restaurant owner. She married Glen Merriman in June of 1975 in Wetumka, Oklahoma. rnrnShe is survived by her husband Glen Merriman, two daughters; Linda Self of Newcastle, Oklahoma, Helen Low of Normangee, Texas, three brothers; Joe Umsted of Irving, Texas, Max Umsted of Bristow, Oklahoma, and Ray Umsted of Houston, Texas, and two sisters Juanita Wilson of Houston, Texas and Melba Delbagno of Streetman, Texas. She was also survived by three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.rnrnFuneral Services are scheduled for 10:30am, Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Brother John Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Wetumka Cemetery, Wetumka, Oklahoma. rnrnPallbearers will be Chris Self, Bill Brown, Richard Brown, Greg Umsted and Billy Joe Umsted.rnrnHonorary Bearers will be, Jerry Umsted, James Hill and Buford Hill.rnrnrn Funeral Information: December 19, 2006, 10:30 AM
