Dorothy Cummings Heath, age 92, of Tulsa, Oklahoma died on Saturday, December 16, 2017. She was born on July 22, 1925 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Samuel and Pauline Meredith. She graduated from Paris High School and attended Arkansas State Teachers College until her marriage to her high school sweetheart, Jim Cummings in December of 1944. They made their home in Seminole, Oklahoma where they had a carpentry and remodeling business until Jim's death in 1978. Dorothy is survived by their four children, Meredith and Richard Wansley of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Robert and Linda Cummings of Highland Village, Texas; Deborah and Vic Doray of Mustang, Oklahoma and Sharon and David Cunningham of Tawakoni, Texas. She also is survived by six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and her sister, Evelyn Allen of West Palm Beach, Florida. Following Jim's death, Dorothy was married to the late Kenneth Morgan. Following his death, she was married to Bill Health who passed away in 2004. In addition to her extensive volunteer service to her church and community, Dorothy was known as an excellent golfer who made two "holes-in-one". She was also a skilled seamstress and made all of her daughter's wedding dresses. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Christmas offering at either the First United Methodist Church in Seminole or the Boston Avenue United Methodist Church in Tulsa. Services will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 3:00 pm at the Oklahoma Methodist Manor in Tulsa with graveside services and burial at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole, Oklahoma at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 21st.
