Dorothy Jean (Larney) Davis, age 65 and a resident of Seminole, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Select Specialty Hospital in Oklahoma City. A Wake service will be held at the family home located at 2006 Neva in Seminole at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2015.  Funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 26, 2015 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole.  Rev. Edwin Jimboy will officiate.  Honorary pallbearers are Cory Madden, Thomas Wolf, Stanley Lincoln, Ronald Daniels, Daniel Tanyan, and Brian Harge. Dorothy was born on December 18, 1949 in Seminole to Grace (Coody) and Rider Gene Larney.  She was raised by her mother and step-father, “Dad” Amos Brown.  She graduated from Seminole High School and worked for Wrangler as a picker, filling orders for the plant.  Dorothy was a member of the Tallahassee Presbyterian Church. She is survived by four sons, Joel Davis of Seminole, Oklahoma, Siah Davis, Timothy Davis of Earlsboro, Oklahoma, and Joaiquin Daniels of Seminole, Oklahoma; one daughter, Erica Madden and husband, Cory Madden of Earlsboro, Oklahoma, two brothers, Leroy Mitchell and wife, Debbie of Seminole, Oklahoma, and Larry Deer and wife, Margie also of Seminole; one sister, Abby Lawhead of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; thirteen grandchildren, Domnick Davis, Brandon West, Dustin Davis, Skyler Davis, Ethan Davis, Payden Madden, Brayden Davis, Tristan Davis, Tiarra Davis, Grace Davis, Terrianna Davis, Jacob Madden, and Donovan Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grace and Amos Brown; husband, Leroy Davis; one daughter, Crystal Davis; and two brothers, Anthony Tanyan and Curtis Tanyan.
