Dorothy Cannon, resident of McKinney, Texas, passed away January 8, 2019 in McKinney, Texas at the age of 86. Dorothy was born July 9, 1932 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to parents, Raymond and Modene (Hicks) Moorehead. Dorothy married Bill Cannon on June 6, 1961 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Dorothy was a housewife who loved cooking, dancing, shopping and taking care of her husband. She was a member of the Waddill Street Baptist Church of McKinney, Texas. Dorothy is survived by two sons; Wayne Snell and his wife Karen of Auburn, Washington, William Snell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two daughters, Pat McNatt and her husband Clark of Plano, Texas, Diana Blasingame and her husband, Robert of Hunington, Arkansas; two brothers, James and his wife Jeannie, Leo Ray Hendrix all of Oklahoma; one sister Ballamay Butler of McKinney, Texas. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Dorothy, husband Bill Cannon who passed away in November 2002; one brother, Tommy Hendrix; two grandsons, Brian and Scott McGaha and one great granddaughter, Camaran Gonzales. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Clark McNatt officiating. Burial will take place at Little Cemetery, Seminole County, Oklahoma. Serving as casket bearers are: Ronnie Bledsoe, Michael Dunn, Austin Dunn, Zachary Wouters, Jeff Seyfert and Mickey Hallmark.
