Dora Rowell

Dora Jo (Lindsay) Rowell, 89 year-old, Seminole resident passed from this life Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Seminole Care Center.  She was born August 16, 1921 in Seminole County, Oklahoma to parents Ola Mae (Hadley) Lindsay and Pleas Lindsay. Dora had lived in Seminole most of her life where she worked as a cashier and hostess at local restaurants.  She married Frank H. Rowell on December 15, 1942 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Seven grandchildren, Michael Rowell, David Rowell, Donnie Rowell, Dana Rowell, Debbie Holloway, Teresa Rowell and Cathy Whitson; four great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends survive Dora. Dora is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Frank H. Rowell; three sons, Frank Dean Rowell, Huey Eugene Rowell and Benny Edgar Rowell; two brothers; and two sisters. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 17, 2010 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating.  Interment will follow at Little Cemetery.
