Donnie Crawford

Donnie Ray Crawford, 71, longtime Seminole resident, died Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Integris Seminole Medical Center. Donnie was born October 31, 1938 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Frank and Frankie (Nall) Crawford. Donnie grew up in Seminole where he attended and graduated from Seminole High School. He joined the U.S. Army and served his tour of duty in Germany; he was honorably discharged as a Private First Class. Donnie lived and worked in Texas after his service time and moved back to Seminole in 1990. Donnie loved the outdoors; he especially loved fishing and hunting, and his special dog. He was very fond of his grandchildren and loved them very much. Donnie was an oilfield executive with Drilco of Midland, Texas from 1962 to 1984, and for Tom Brown Oil Co. in Midland, Texas from 1984 to 1990. He married Gloria Henry in Van Buren, Arkansas on November 12, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Henry Crawford, of the home; three daughters:  Lisa and David Davey of San Diego, California, Erika Crawford of New York, New York, and Lori Zinnecker of Austin, Texas; his stepchildren:  Chris and Dana Wood of Claremore, Oklahoma, and Jennifer and Travis Caresia of Choctaw, Oklahoma; two brothers:  Ronnie Crawford and his wife Roxie of Wichita, Kansas, and Dale Crawford and his wife Jo of Grand Prairie, Texas; four sisters:  Ramona Kring and husband Terry of Norman, Oklahoma, Gail Bonebrake and husband Steve of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Wanda Schreiner of Norman, Oklahoma, and Joyce Castor of Houston, Texas; and eight grandchildren: Marshall Beddoe of San Francisco, California, Mitchell Beddoe of San Diego, California, Madeline Beddoe of Santa Barbara, California, Tobin Zinnecker of Austin, Texas, Alex and Olivia Wood of Claremore, Oklahoma, Raymond Lormer of Claremore, Oklahoma, and Abbie Caresia of Choctaw, Oklahoma. Three brothers, Harold, G.R. and James Crawford, and a sister, Leona Crawford Scott, preceded him in death. Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 5, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Seminole, with Dr. Tommy Clark officiating. Military honors will follow with burial at Little Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Rick Withrow, Raymond Lormer, Bennie Caresia, Travis Caresia, Chris Wood, Kyle Kring, Terry Schreiner and Carl Schreiner, III. Honorary Bearers will be Tobin Zinnecker, Marshall Beddoe, Mitchell Beddoe and Alex Wood.
