Donna Jo (Compston) Martin

Donna Jo (Compston) Martin, age 74 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed from this life Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church of Konawa under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.  Pastor, Steve Littrell will officiate, and casket bearers are Jared Prewett, Keelan Prewett, Richie Cox, Matthew Smith, Chris Coffin, Kelly Prewett, and Richard Cox.  Honorary casket bearer is Braden Prewett.  The family will receive guests at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 15th. Donna was born February 26, 1944 in Vinita, Oklahoma to Joe Compston and Donna (Binkley) Compston.  She graduated from Nathan Hale High School in Tulsa and attended Tulsa Jr. College.  She later worked as a Law Courier for Stipe Law Firm in Tulsa until her retirement.  Donna loved watching her grandchildren’s activities, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. Donna is survived by two daughters, Jeannie Cox and husband, Richard of Mannford, Oklahoma and Marie Prewett and husband, Kelly of Konawa; six grandchildren, Richie Cox, Brittany Smith and husband, Matthew, Amanda Coffin and husband, Chris, Keelan Prewett, Jared Prewett, and Braden Prewett; one great grandchild, Trenten Combs. She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandchild, Morgan Angela Prewett.
