Donna Sue (Ferrell) Blakemore

Donna Sue Blakemore of Seminole passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at the age of 75.

Donna, the daughter of Frank and Velma (Johnson) Ferrell, was born January 16, 1946 in Campbell, MO.  Donna enjoyed gardening as well as preparing for weddings, she created wedding flower arrangements and wedding cakes.  She was a Sunday  School teacher and was very active at Twin Rivers General Baptist Church.  She also attended Calvary Assembly in Rolla, Missouri.  Donna was raised in Fisk Missouri   before moving to Seminole Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her biological parents and a brother, David Kern.

Donna is survived by her mom, Faye Widener of Edgar Springs, MO; sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Becca Thompson Jr. of Rolla Missouri, and Johnathan and Saucy Thompson of Rolla Missouri; daughters and sons-in-law Kimberly and David Holmes of Fredericktown Missouri, Sheila and Chris Haney of Seminole Oklahoma, and Laura and Tom Hecker of McVeytown Pennsylvania; brother and sister-in-law Michael and Connie Kern of Fisk Missouri; sisters and brothers-in-law Patricia and Dan Reid of O’Fallon Missouri, and Missy and Vernon Harris of Edgar Springs Missouri; 22 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Brian Hecker, Israel Haney, Matthew Zwermann, David Holmes Jr., Cory Thompson, and Bradley Miller.

Viewing will be Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.

Services will be Friday, August 27, 2021 at 10:00 AM, at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole.
