Donald Ray Wood

Donald Ray Wood of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed from this life on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at the age of 71.  Donald was born December 10, 1946 in Clovis, New Mexico to Johnny and Amanda (Factor) Wood.  In 1969 Donald married Christine Foster in Shawnee, Oklahoma.  He enjoyed hunting and watching boxing and he loved animals, but he especially loved spending time with his family. Donald leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Christine of the home, one daughter, Shannon Wood of the home and one granddaughter that he raised as his own daughter, Desiree’ Nash of Shawnee, Oklahoma, one grandson that he raised as his own son, Forrest Nash of Shawnee, Oklahoma, five great grandchildren, Maliq Jones, Tryson Nash, LaKiyah Johnson, Maliyah Johnson and Saniah Nash, two brothers, Virgil “Sonny” Wood of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Wallace J. Wood and wife Carol of Arizona, one sister (who was special), Barbara Washington and husband George of Seminole, Oklahoma as well as a host of nieces and nephews and other family and friends. Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Amanda Wood, three brothers, Don Palmer, Matthew Wood and Johnny Ray Wood, two sisters, Jean Washington and Mary Mills A wake service will take place at 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel, in Seminole, Oklahoma.  A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma.
