Donald Mason Montgomery

Donald Mason “Don” Montgomery, 81 year old Seminole, Oklahoma resident and former Claremore, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life on Christmas day, Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at OU Adult Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  He was born March 3, 1937 in Seminole, Oklahoma to parents Vera Mae (Mason) Montgomery and Homer Morris Montgomery. Don served six years in the United States Army.  He married Juana Iona Perry on December 31, 1962 at the Seminole First Baptist Church in Seminole, Oklahoma. Don had worked in the Ship Yards in San Diego, California as an electrician.  He retired from Claremore Utility Company in 1999 where he worked as an electrician. Survivors include one daughter, Beverly Dawn Montgomery of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two sisters, Vera and Tommie Rammage of Seminole, Oklahoma, Patricia Clark of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and a host of other family and friends. Don is preceded in death by his parents, Homer Morris Montgomery and Vera Mae (Mason) Montgomery, by two brothers, (infant) Wilbur Montgomery and Homer Lee Montgomery, three sisters Mary Jo Arner, Francis Tedford and Lou Ann Tyner. Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating the service.  He will be laid to rest by his wife in Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole, Oklahoma.
