Donald Harland

Donald Wayne Harland, 81 Donald Wayne Harland, 81, peacefully passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015 at his home while surrounded by loved ones. Waiting in Heaven for him is his wife, Billie Ruth and son Billy Wayne. Donald was born September 9, 1933 in the Sasakwa, Oklahoma area to parents Albert Wayne Harland and Mable Esther (Morris) Harland. He married Billie Ruth (Isaacs)Harland in Texas. Donald served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a construction foreman and a pipe layer. He belonged to the California Labor Union and was of the Baptist faith. Donald lived many years in California, but Oklahoma was always home. Those left to cherish his memory, are: daughter, Shirley Ann and her husband Donald Wade; sons, Jimmy Ray and Ronald Lee; daughter, Claudia June and her husband, Randy Beck and daughters-in-law, Janie VanDoren and Debbie DeCosta; eight grandchildren; Teri Shaw, twins, Tracy and Tabitha Marsac, Trena and her husband, Wesley Childs, Shannon Jordan, Jimmy Harland, Jr., Bryon Harland and his wife Ivy; ten great grandchildren, Brooke, Bradley, Brandon, and Brogan Shaw, Connor, Carter, and Chane Childs and Kaleb Marsac. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole, Oklahoma.
