Donald Douthit

Donald Eugene Douthit, 78, Seminole resident, died Tuesday, November 18, 2014 in Seminole, Oklahoma, he was born, February 21, 1936 , to Lottie May (Simmons) and James Lloyd Douthit, in New Lima, Oklahoma. Donald attended God’s Glory Church in Seminole, Oklahoma and was a retired Road Grader Operator for Pottawatomie County and retired at the age of 72. He loved fishing and was dedicated to caring for his wife in the nursing home. He married Wanda June (Foster) on November 3, 1979 in Bowlegs, Oklahoma. Donald is survived by his wife Wanda June Douthit of Seminole, Oklahoma, his son Terry Douthit and his wife Linda of Tuttle, Oklahoma, and step son Donnie Cooper and his wife Amy of Shattuck, Oklahoma and step daughter Beckie Green of Shattuck, Oklahoma, one sister Ina Childress of Chickasha, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Traci Wade, Rachel Gonzales, Treshieva Haulcomb, Colton Green, Logan Green, Catrina Cooper, Jessika Cooper and Houston Green and sixteen  great  grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Jim Douthit, Truman Douthit, John Douthit and Herman Douthit, and his sisters, Bee Douthit and Eddie Webb. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Bowlegs, Oklahoma with burial at Wolf Cemetery.
