Donald Fay Dean Sr.

Donald Fay Dean, Sr., of Inola, Oklahoma, passed Sunday, November 20, 2022 in Claremore.

Donald, the son of John and Marie Feese, was born March 21, 1933, in Tulsa.  After graduating from high school, Donald joined the US Air Force, ultimately reaching the rank of TSGT. Donald married Hattie Herron on September 21, 1958; they enjoyed 53 years of marriage.  He owned and operated Dean and Sons, specializing in carpet cleaning.  Donald enjoyed and was very skilled at making flower arrangements.  He was also a huge Cubs fan, often blaming them for his hair loss.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Hattie (Herron) Dean; and two grandchildren, Jason and Amber.

Donald is survived by his son and step-son, Donald Dean Jr., of Inola, and Bob Herron, of Seminole; daughters, Sherry Rodriguez, of Garber, OK., and Kathy Bell, of Tulsa; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; along with many other family and friends.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
