Don L. Stuart, 77 year-old, longtime businessman and Seminole resident passed from this life Sunday, April 19, 2009 at his home that he had built with his own hands, and he entered into the house the Lord had built for him. He was born October 22, 1931 in McComb, Oklahoma to parents John Roy Stuart and Audrey Mattie (Cowan) Stuart.rnrnDon graduated from McComb High School in 1950. He then went straight to work. He was a Master Barber where he owned and operated his own barbershop, ?Don?s Barber Shop? on Main Street in Seminole for over 50 years. That wasn?t Don?s only interest he was also a rancher who loved to raise Limousin Cattle. He spent some time working in the oilfield. He also gave to the community by building the ?Hidden Hills? mobile home park south of Seminole, which he has owned and operated for many years.rnrnDon had so many different passions from raising cattle to rebuilding an old Studebaker Automobile that was published in 1961 Hotrod Magazine winning a top award. He was also a member of the Seminole First Baptist Church and he was a lifetime member of the National Limousin Association.rnrnPerhaps Don?s greatest passion was the love he had for his wife and High School sweetheart, Virginia Mae ?Giny? Stovall who he married on February 4, 1950 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. This past February they celebrated 59 years of marriage.rnrnDon leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Virginia ?Giny? Stuart of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Michael Barsky of Plano, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Katherine Stuart of Lampe, Missouri; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Delbert and Helen Stovall of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Cecil and Cathy Stovall of Corpus Christi, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Galen Nelson of Grants Pass, Oregon; one sister-in-law, Alberta Stovall of Ponca City, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Christopher Stuart of Allen, Texas, Clark and his wife Rachel Stuart of Battlefield, Missouri, Sarah Barsky of Paris, Texas and Suzanne Barsky of Plano, Texas; as well as a host of other family and dear friends.rnrnDon is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James C. Stuart; and by one brother-in-law, A.J. Stovall who died in 2007.rnrnFuneral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at the First Baptist Church ? 420 Reid Street ? Seminole, Oklahoma. Dr. Tommy Clark and Russell Vicars will officiate.
