Taliaferro are scheduled for Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Swearingen Funeral Chapel in Konawa with Randy Jordan officiating.rnrnBurial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery with services under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Konawa.rnrnMrs. Taliaferro passed away Saturday, February 16, 2008 at Wake Medical Center in Cary, North Carolina at the age of 74.rnrnShe was born July 2, 1933 in Shawnee, OK to Rueben Harper and Allie Nora (Blackwood). She graduated from Shawnee High School.rnrnOn October 30, 1972 she married George Taliaferro, Jr. in Overland Park, Kansas and he preceded her in death on January 13, 2001.rnrnDolores worked for many years in retail women's fashions as a manager and buyer for American Fashions Corp. in Kansas City. rnrnPrior to that she worked in Civil Service for Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, OK and later retired from US Dept. of Agriculture Federal Crop Insurance Corp. Actuarial Services Division in 1994.rnrnShe was a member of the American Business Womens Association.rnrnShortly after retirement she and her husband George, relocated from Kansas City to Norman, OK where she lived until 2005 when she moved to the Raleigh-Durham, NC area to be close to her son.rnrnShe is survived by her son, Randy W. Jordan of Fuquay Varina, N.C.;rnrntwo brothers, Richard Harper of Oklahoma City, OK and Steven Chaney of Oklahoma City, OK; rnrnthree grandchildren, Lael Eve Jordan and Abigail Hope Jordan, both of Holly Springs, NC and Gabriel Asher Jordan of Fuquay-Varina, NC.rnrnShe was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Andrew J.
