Dixie Louise (Boler) Wallace , age 83 and a long-time resident of Asher, Oklahoma passed away December 14, 2023 at SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital in Shawnee surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 18, 2023 at the First Baptist Church of Asher under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa, Oklahoma. Rev. Scott Hamilton will officiate, and burial will follow at Wanette Cemetery. Viewing will begin Sunday, December 17th from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Dixie was born June 12, 1940 in Wanette, Oklahoma to Woodrow Wilson Boler and Ruby Marie (Burton) Boler. She graduated from Wanette High School, and married Jimmie Ray Wallace June 11, 1958 in Wanette. She was a wonderful homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Asher. Dixie was an avid Thunder Fan, and she loved painting, gardening, and shopping for antiques. She was loved by all who met her, and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by two sons, Jimmie Ray Wallace, Jr. and wife, Beverly of Oklahoma City, and Kendall Ray Wallace and wife, Kristen of Asher; one sister-in-law, Theda Suchy and husband, Max of Asher; one grandchild, Matthew Wallace and wife, Genesis; and one great grandchild, Oakley Wallace.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
