Dixie Busbee

Dixie Felton Busbee Dixie Felton Busbee, 92, Seminole resident passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Seminole Integris Medical Center. Mrs. Busbee was born April 6, 1918 in Wood County, Texas to Harrison D. and Mamie (Douglas) Ingram. Dixie came to Seminole in 1957 until 1993 then moved back to Texas and came back to Seminole in 1999. She is survived by her daughters, Georgan Gile of Seminole, Oklahoma and Mary Helen Adams of Seminole, Oklahoma, two grandsons, Dan Gile and wife Gail of Boynton Beach, Florida, Don Clark and wife Terri of Shawnee and three great grandchildren.  She is also survived by one sister, Rosemary Roe of Dallas, Texas.  Dixie was employed for many years at Adwan’s Specialty Shop in Seminole.  She was married to Jack Felton and he preceded her in death in 1985. In 1993 she married Alvin Busbee and moved to Quitman, Texas, after his death in December 1999, she returned to Seminole.  Dixie was a wonderful mother and friend who will be greatly missed. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at  Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Alba, Texas.
