Diane Darr Longtime Seminole resident Diane Darr passed away on May 25, 2010 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas at the age of 49. She was born in Seminole, Oklahoma on July 8, 1960 to Eldon and Rose (Clark) Shepherd. Diane moved to Arlington, Texas as a young child and graduated from Sam Houston High School. She moved back to Seminole in 1979 and married Tommy D. Darr on November 21, 1981 in Seminole, Oklahoma. She attended Seminole State College Nursing Program and became a registered nurse in 1983. Diane was the Director of Nurses for Med-Corp Plus Home Health in Seminole. She loved being a nurse and took pride in taking care of her patients; she was very caring and compassionate. She loved her career but most importantly loved her family; she also loved gardening, her flowers, her llamas and her farm animals. She was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church in Earlsboro. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 28 ½ years Tommy Darr of the home, her mother and father, Eldon and Rose Shepherd of Seminole, two sons: Jonathan Darr of Shawnee and Christopher Darr and wife Jill of Prague, four sisters and brother-in-laws: Barbara and Gary Phillips of Walnut Springs, Texas, Janet and Keith Grissom of Seminole, Tammy Shepherd of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Kelly Brauer of Rogers, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Hap and Lucille Clark and Stanley and Sylvia Shepherd and father-in-law: Richard Don Darr. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 29, 2010 at the Fairview Baptist Church in Earlsboro with Rev. Richard Stillwell officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery, Little, Oklahoma. Casket Bearers will be: Daniel Phillips, Jared Grissom, Clint Grissom, Keith McFerran, Dusty Darr and Travis Rider.
