Dezaniyah "Dezi" ShaNae Harrison

Dezaniyah “Dezi” ShaNae Harrison, Seminole resident, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024 in Seminole at the age of 18. Dezi was born on November 22, 2006 in Shawnee, OK to Isaac Jeremaine Harrison and Delaina (Johnson) Harrison. Dezi was a student at Strother High School.  

Dezi was one of the sweetest people in the world, a literal angel that walked the earth. If you knew her you loved her and she loved you. She also shared a birthday with her niece, Jurni King. She had one of the warmest hugs and sweetest smiles. She loved to go to rodeos, especially when she was watching her dad. Dezi took joy in reading her bible, playing softball, cooking and spending time working in the P-3 class. She enjoyed cleaning. One of her favorite things to do was to go camping with her family and spending time on the boat. 

Dezi is survived by her parents, Isaac and Delaina Harrison of Seminole, OK; brother, Elijah Harrison of Seminole, OK; sisters, Shaniyah King and husband, Ethan of Shawnee, OK and Laniyah Harrison of Little, OK; niece, Jurni King of Shawnee, OK; nephew, Jaxxon King of Shawnee, OK; maternal grandparents, Edward and Joan Hubbard, James and Cathy Blackshire; paternal grandparents, Veronica and Ricky Nelson; godmother, Veronica Dixon and host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.  

Dezi was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Richetta Johnson; great grandmother, Vondell Barnes; paternal grandfather, Israel Harrison III and paternal great grandmother, Sylvania Dennis. 

Those serving as casket bearers will be Leslie Berry, Bruce Carter, Dee Hill, Forest Banks , Hunter Edwards and Ken Berry. Honorary casket bearers will be Israel Harrison IV, James Dennis, Brian Carter, John Dennis, Chad Patterson, Alvin Cunningham and Ulysses Rivera.

Viewing will be Wednesday, December 11, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.

 Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 13, 2024 at Strother High School Gymnasium with Pastor Lionell Rubin officiating. Cremation will follow. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
