Longtime Seminole resident Dewey ?Buddy? Pitts passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at the age of 70.rnrnHe was born on January 23, 1937 in Wilsonville, East of Bowlegs, Oklahoma to Roy Earl and Maudie Ellen (Hilliard) Pitts. rnrnHe attended Bowlegs Schools and was affiliated with the First Baptist Church. He served in the Navy for four years after his discharge from the navy he worked in Seminole County Oil Fields. After leaving the oilfield he worked as a tire builder for Uniroyal Goodrich in Ardmore, Oklahoma for many years retiring on January 14, 1996. rnrnHe is survived by two sons: Harvey Lee Pitts and Shawn Pitts of Lebanon, Oklahoma, one daughter, Rhonda Yvonne Pitts of Wylie, Texas and two sisters: Carol Mills and husband Reford of the home in Seminole, and Doris Dean Cox of Seminole. Two grandchildren: Dale Curtis and Jennifer Elizabeth Pitts, also survive him. rnrnHe is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Roy Raymond, Harvey Monroe and Edgar Lee Pitts, two sisters: Gwendolyn Lenore Pitts and Flossie Marvella McCuroy. rnrnGraveside services with military honors are scheduled for 3:00pm, Monday, October 8, 2007 at Little Cemetery with Rev.
