Dennis Wayne Isaacs

Dennis Wayne Isaacs, age 65 and a long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away at Mercy Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma on June 19, 2024. 

A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa, Oklahoma. Rev. Mitch Williams will officiate, and honorary bearers are Mark Stoup, Brandon Stoup, Randy Stokes, Carl Capps, Milo Fox, Jr., Ron "Fuzzy" Lowry, Mark Reeves, and Bob Bishop.

Dennis was born August 21, 1958 in Bakersfield, California to Vernon Ray Isaacs and Patsy Ruth (Evans) Isaacs. He married Katie Ruth Sanderson January 1, 1980 in Konawa, and he worked as a roughneck for oil industry. Dennis loved fishing, riding the river, arrowhead hunting, noodling, and doing yard work. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his great granddaughter, Millie Mae. 

He is survived by his wife, Katie Isaacs of the home; one son, Ian Isaacs of Konawa; one daughter, Tenley Johnson and husband, Beau of Ada; one brother, Danny Isaacs and wife, Debbie of Konawa; two sisters, Sheila Herndon of Kingston, Oklahoma, and Angela Carter of Seminole, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, MaKinze Johnson, Justin Johnson, and Brooklyn Johnson; one great granddaughter, Millie Mae Chandler, whom he absolutely adored.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jess and Ida Isaacs; and his parents, Vernon and Patsy Isaacs.
