Dena Marie Phillips

Dena Marie Phillips, 27 year old Seminole County, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life Monday, April 30, 2018 at South West Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  She was born August 13, 1990 in Seminole, Oklahoma to parents Marilyn Lois (McCulley) Moore and Jeffery Martin Phillips. Dena was a member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma the Nurcup Harjo Band.  She was ½ Seminole and Creek. Dena attended Norman Public Schools in Norman, Oklahoma.  She was currently working at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Seminole. Dena leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Marilyn McCulley Moore of Earlsboro, Oklahoma; her father, Jeffery Phillips of Okemah, Oklahoma; one son, Kaden Harjo of the home; two daughters, Hailey Harjo of the home and Olivia Harjo of the home; six brothers, Johnathan Phillips of Okemah, Oklahoma, Jonah Dunn of Lawton, Oklahoma, Joey Holahta of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Rodney Holahta of Earlsboro, Oklahoma, Benjamin Holahta of Earlsboro, Oklahoma, Richard Dunn of Earlsboro, Oklahoma; five sisters, Tosha Johnson of Seminole, Oklahoma, Denise Brown of Morris, Oklahoma, Melissa Holahta of Seminole, Oklahoma, Cheryl Dunn of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Lavena  Dunn of Ada, Oklahoma; and a host of other family and dear friends. Dena will be taken to Sand Creek Eufaula Indian Baptist Church (Located near Justice School) at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, May 3, 2018 for a wake service Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 4, 2018 at Sand Creek Eufaula Indian Baptist Church with Rev. Houston Tiger and Rev. Billy Merritt officiating the service.  Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Casket Bearers will be: Donavan Orr, Stacey Harjo, Brandon Harjo, Isaiah Harjo, Austin Harjo and Jason Scott. Honorary Bearers will be: Nicholas Dunn, Kevin McCulley, Zachary McCulley, Xavier Holahta, Jalen Harjo, Mike Harjo and Joey Harjo.
