Della W. Coker Jones, 92, life long Seminole resident died Friday, March 9, 2012 in Seminole, Oklahoma. She was born on July 13, 1919 in Seminole County to David and Selina (Micco) Coker. Della attended Pleasant Grove Schools west of Seminole. She worked at the Douglas Aircraft plant as a Riveter and later at Lillian Russell in Wewoka, Oklahoma and at the Seminole Library. Della was married to the late Herman " Jerry " Jones in June of 1954; he preceded her in death in March of 1994. Della is survived by a son Kenneth Tiger and his wife Teresa of Vallejo, California, three daughters Marsha Chapman of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Carmen McKinney and her husband Tom of Muskogee, Oklahoma and Kevin Bunner of Seminole, Oklahoma. Two sisters Hazel Lusty of Yukon, Oklahoma and Anna Mae Cash of Durant, Oklahoma also survive her. She is survived by ten grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands; Herman " Jerry" Jones,Lee Tiger, Pete Lena; brothers, Harry Coker, Dave Coker and George Coker, Sisters Edna Walker and Helen Hill, a son Melvin Lena, granddaughter Marissa Chapman and great grandchildren, William Campbell, Maizy Campbell and Lucas” Little Man” Campbell. Wake services will be Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 6:30 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole. Rev. Dorsey Nero and Rev. Rick Harjo will officiate at the services. Casket bearers will be Jerry McKinney, Tommy McKinney, Jordan Lyons, Michael Bunner, Josh Phillips, Steve Goat and Joe Goat. Honorary bearers will be Tod Robertson, Mark Evans, Rex Hailey, Keith Coker, Walter Hill, Glen Coker and David Coker.
