Delbert Alfred Franklin

Delbert Alfred Franklin, age 80 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away October 3, 2024 at his home.

A memorial service will be held at a later date, and cremation is under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.

Delbert was born November 10, 1943 in Portland, Oregon to Harry Franklin and Virginia (McSay) Sair. After graduating from high school, he became a Dozer Operator for a waste management company, Seward County Landfill for twenty years. He was also a member of the Jockey Club of Oklahoma (racehorses). He was an avid racehorse person, and he loved spending time with his family and with his dog, Red.

He is survived by one son, Casey Franklin and wife, Peggy of Konawa; one sister, Barbara McSay; three grandchildren, Garrett Franklin, Trevor Franklin, and Franki Jo Franklin; three great grandchildren, Cody Jo Franklin, Ryhett Franklin, and Riggin Franklin; and a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Barbara McSay.
