Deborah Sue Emarthle

October 4, 1957 — July 4, 2012

Deborah Sue (Harjo) Emarthle, 54 year-old, life long Seminole resident passed from this life on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  She was born October 4, 1957 in Seminole to parents Mary Jane (Carbitcher) Harjo and Johnson Harjo. Deborah graduated from Bowlegs High School in 1977. She had worked for Pioneer Nursing Home and Wrangler for several years.  Deborah was a proud member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma the Tusekia Harjo Band.  She was also a member of Cedar Creek Eufaula Baptist Church. Survivors include; three sons, Ricky Harjo of Ft. Supply, Oklahoma, Adjal Fixico of Seminole, Oklahoma and Isaiah Fixico of Holdenville, Oklahoma; one daughter, Kimberly Emarthle of Holdenville, Oklahoma; three brothers, Curtis Harjo and Raymond Harjo both of Bowlegs, Oklahoma and Darrin Harjo of McAlester, Oklahoma; three sister, Phyllis Harjo of Bowlegs, Oklahoma and Linda Underwood of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Yolanda Harrison of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren and a host of other family and dear friends. Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, and by two brother, Vincent “Porky” Harjo and Christopher "Gabby" Daniels. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 9, 2012 at Sand Creek Baptist Church of Wewoka, Oklahoma. Rev. Houston Tiger and Rev Jimpsey Harjo will officiate. Burial will be at the Harjo Family Cemetery. Serving as casket bearers: Waylon Cully, Steve Fixico, John Harjo, Chebon Cedartree, Cvto Harjo and Adam Phillips. Honorary bearers: Geroge Harjo, Leo Tiger, Andrew Harjo, Timmy Casselman and her nephews. Viewing will be at Swearingen Funeral Home, Friday July 6, 2012 until 8:00 p.m. refreshments after viewing at the family home in Bowlegs. Deborah will be taken to her mothers' home in Bowlegs at 4:00 p.m. Saturday for a wake service and on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. she will be taken to Sand Creek Baptist Church.   Funeral Information: July 9, 2012, 2:00 PM Sand Creek Eufaula Baptist Church located at SW of Wewoka, Oklahoma, Wewoka, OK 74868
