Deanna Everhart

Deanna Carol (Blackwood) Everhart, age 64 and long-time resident of Konawa, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2009, at her residence. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26th, at Vamoosa Baptist Church under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.  Rev. Kevin Duck will officiate.  Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Bill Everhart, Jr., Jim Blackwood, Jerry Blackwood, Johnny Blackwood, Eddie Dee Blackwood, and Jeff Morris.  Visitation will be Sunday, 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and Monday and Tuesday, 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Deanna was born to Alton D. Blackwood and Effie (Hankins) Blackwood on April 26, 1945 in Richmond, California.  She married Arthur W. Everhart, Sr. on August 18, 1964 in Rodeo, California.  They moved from California in 1977.  Deanna worked as an LPN in the health care profession.  She loved being around her family and friends, and she also loved to sing and to listen to gospel music. She is survived by one son, Arthur W. “Bill” Everhart, Jr. and wife, Kathy of Ada, Oklahoma; one daughter, Carol Morris and husband, Jeff of Konawa, Oklahoma; one sister, Pat Brotherton of Clearlake Oaks, California; six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alton and Effie Blackwood, and her husband, Arthur Everhart.
