David Andrew Yott

David Andrew Yott, age 70 and a resident of Seminole county, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at OU Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 10th at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa, Oklahoma.  Adam Leathers will officiate, and burial will follow at Vista Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Harvey Farrell, Andrew Sheffield, Dakota Yott, Kenneth Ray, Joey Sheffield, II, Bret Nipper, Dalton Yott, Wyatt, Yott, and Bryan Martin. David was born on April 13, 1943 in Asher, Oklahoma to George Yott and Florence (Herman) Yott.  He worked as a fabricator for a trailer manufacturing company and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and being with his family. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca (Farrell) Murr of the home; one son, David Allen Yott and wife, Robin  of Konawa, one step-son, Joey Sheffield and wife, Nacole of Fritch, Texas; one step-daughter, Trina Sheffield of Durant, Oklahoma; 3 brothers, Arlis Yott of Konawa, Darrell Yott of Asher, and Raymond Yott of Macomb, Oklahoma; three sisters, Lucy, of Shawnee, Linda Sue of Shawnee, and Georgie of Oklahoma City; and fourteen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda Marie Yott; one daughter, Lisa Yott; one step-son, Scottie Sheffield; two brothers, Gene and Marvin Yott; and one sister, Ruby Lebo.
