David Leroy Smith

David Leroy Smith, 61-year-old Seminole resident passed from this life Thursday, May 3, 2012 at his home surrounded by family.  He was born September 12, 1950 in Idabel, Oklahoma to parents Wiley Paul Smith and Letha (Williams) Smith. David had lived several years in Pottawatomie County where he had worked as a tree trimmer and he moved to Seminole 15 years ago. Survivors include his mother, Letha Smith of Seminole, Oklahoma; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Davey Smith of Okemah, Oklahoma, Steve and Amy Smith of Seminole, Oklahoma; three brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Margaret Smith of Seminole, Oklahoma, Steve and Neno Smith of Seminole, Oklahoma, Harold and Diane Smith of Skiatook, Oklahoma; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth Smith of Seminole, Oklahoma, Sandra and James Edings of Checotah, Oklahoma, Brenda Scott of Texas, Elaine and Jerry Bledsoe of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, Regina and Lee Sexton of Madill, Oklahoma; one grandson, Neal Leroy Smith of Okemah, Oklahoma; a host of nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends. Graveside services were held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, May 4, 2012 at the Smith Family Cemetery.  With Rev. Cindy Robertson officiating.
