David Sanders

David Carl Sanders, 74, Seminole resident, died Monday, August 10, 2015 in Seminole, Oklahoma. David was born November 27, 1940 in Wetumka, Oklahoma to Edward Frank Sanders and Merle ( Ray) Sanders.   David moved back to the Seminole area in 1987 from Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma. He was retired from the U. S. Army, where he was a Staff Sergeant ( E-6) and had served his country in Vietnam. He also worked at the O G & E Power Plant in Konawa, Oklahoma and retired from there in 2002.   He married Rita Carol (Dixon) Carter in Muskogee, Oklahoma on September 3, 1993 and she preceded him in death on February 14, 2006.   He is survived by his daughter Ursula Sanders Richarte of Homestead, Florida.   He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother Ebert Sanders and sister Reba Sanders.   Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, August 21, 2015 at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole, Oklahoma.   Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
