Darrell Louie Yott

Darrell Louie Yott, age 74 and a resident of Asher, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, August 25, 2016 at St. Anthony Hospital in Shawnee, Oklahoma. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 29, 2016 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa, Oklahoma. Darrell was born December 3, 1941 in Vamoosa, Oklahoma to George Louie Yott and Florence (Herriman) Yott.  He married Carolyn “Sue” Nolen June 1, 1973 in Gainesville, Texas, and he was a heavy equipment operator for the county.  Darrell also served in the Army.  Darrell was an avid gun collector, and he enjoyed farming, gardening, and going to dog trades in Sulphur.  He also loved his grandchildren very much. He is survived by his wife, Sue Yott of the home; one step-son, Jon Haley and wife, Angela of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one daughter, Carrie Milburn and husband, Rob of Asher, Oklahoma; one brother, Raymond Yott of Macomb, Oklahoma; three sisters, Linda Sue Craft of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Georgie Ann Tryon of Oklahoma City, and Lucy Glenn of Shawnee, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Nikki Haley, Alisha Lopez, Tristan Milburn, and J.R. Milburn; and one great grandchild, Kashlynn Sue. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Florence Yott, one sister, Ruby Leabo; four brothers, Marvin, David, Arlis, and Gene Yott.
