Darrell Strickland

Darrell Joe Strickland, 46 year-old, Seminole resident passed from this life Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Carl Albert Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma.  He was born April 12, 1964 in Midwest City, Oklahoma to parents Shirley Faye (Foster) Strickland and Larry Joe Strickland. Darrell graduated from Del City High School and worked as a plumber before becoming disabled. Survivors include his mother, Shirley Nelson of Seminole; father, Larry Strickland of Arcadia, Oklahoma; two sons, Alex Strickland of Tucson, Arizona and Derek Strickland of Vail, Arizona; one daughter, Brittany Strickland of Tucson, Arizona; one brother, David Strickland of Connell, Washington; two sisters, Debbie Quintela of Norman, Oklahoma, Denise Strickland of Seminole, Oklahoma; one granddaughter, Leila Strickland of Tucson, Arizona; and a host of other family and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 16, 2010 and Friday, December 17, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
