Darien Caine Carter

Darien Caine Carter, age 29, passed away July 10, 2020 at his home in Earlsboro, Oklahoma. Darien was born January 5, 1991 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to parents Tuan Carter and Trina Lynn Self. He grew up in Seminole, Oklahoma and graduated from Bowlegs High School in 2009. He attended East Central University for one year.

Darien worked as a security guard at Seminole State College and Seminole Nation. He enjoyed raising chickens with his dad, fishing, spending time with family and friends and making music with his friends.

Darien is survived by his parents; Tuan Carter and Trina Self, brothers; Landon Madkins, Delaney Pennock and Tuan Jr. “TJ” Campbell, sisters; Tuana Carter and T’kenya Depp and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister; Donnell Carter-Harjo.

Visitation for Darien will begin Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Swearingen Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Maurice Depp and Gilbert Reese officiating.

Honorary casket bearers will be Christopher Demings, Christoff Bear, Bill Hobia III, Dane Hughes, Antonio Depp, Tyler Richardson and Dominick Wicker.

Instead of flowers, the family is requesting donations toward Darien’s funeral expenses be made to Swearingen Funeral Home, 1001 N. Milt Phillips Avenue, Seminole, Oklahoma 74868 or by phone at (405) 382-3456.
