Danny Ray Leslie

Danny Ray Leslie, age 67 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away at Mercy Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018 at St. Louis First Baptist Church.  Burial will follow at Konawa Memorial Cemetery.  Brandon Leslie and Philip Mullins will officiate.  Casket bearers are Matthew Welch, Adam Welch, Jason Welch, Jeramy Welch, Shannon Welch, and Scottie Routon.  Honorary bearers are Chubby Welch, Kelton Welch, Gary Welch, and Ronnie Welch. Danny was born July 21, 1950, in Bakersfield, California to Raymond Sedrick Leslie and Jesse “Virginia” (Foster) Leslie.  He married Denice Fern Welch December 14, 1975 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Danny worked as a tool pusher for California Production Service.  He enjoyed cooking, fishing, watching OU football, and most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Denice Leslie of the home; four sons, Mike Humecky and wife, Jan of Bakersfield, California, Brandon Leslie and wife, Amanda of Konawa, Robert Leslie and wife, Lindsey of Ada, and Mike Leslie of Konawa; five daughters, Deanna Sandiego and husband, Mark of Bakersfield, California, Jessica Routon and husband, Scottie of Konawa, Jazzlin Hunt and husband, Brady of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Maddie Leslie of Konawa, and Darla Leslie also of Konawa; one brother, Eugene Leslie and wife, Christine of Bakersfield, California; fourteen grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Virginia Leslie; one brother, Ronnie Joe Leslie, and one sister, Jeanie Wilson.
