Danny Mac Clayton, age 65 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, December 23, 2011 at Seminole Medical Hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28th at the Church of Christ of Konawa under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. Richard Winters will officiate. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. Pallbearers are Carl Wyatt, Gerald Jackson, Mike Boren, Donnie Kiker, Kenneth Norman, and Buddy Ray Womack. Honorary Pallbearers are Tommy Spears, Burnus Fisher, and Jack Terry. Danny was born on October 11, 1946 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Loyd C. Clayton and Agnes (Brown) Clayton. He graduated from high school in Sasakwa, and worked as an oilfield superintendent. He married Linda (Russell) Doner Clayton on April 26, 1984 at the Church of Christ in Konawa. Danny was an avid deer hunter, fisherman, and trapper who loved ranching, taking care of cattle, and looking for arrowheads. He was a very loving man who loved God. He is survived by his wife, Linda Clayton of the home; two sons, Danny Dewayne Clayton of Durango, Colorado, and Troy Doner and wife, Laura of Konawa; two daughters, Angela Clayton of Oklahoma City, and De’Ambra Hensley and husband, Tim of Ada; one brother, Loyd Clayton and wife, Mae Nell of Sasakwa, Oklahoma; numerous grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Loyd and Agnes Clayton and one son, Kevin Clayton.
