Dannie Herbert Morse was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on June 23, 1952 to his mother and father, Tellie Williams Morse and Herbert H. Morse. He graduated from Northside High School in Fort Smith in 1970. Dannie attended West Ark Community College before marrying the love of his life, Judy Fallin Morse, in 1972. Together, they settled in Tecumseh, Oklahoma where they would live the remainder of their lives together and raise their two children, Daniel Joel Morse and Tiffany Morse Green, both of Tecumseh, Oklahoma. They would later be blessed with six grandchildren.
In his early years, Dannie worked as a carpenter and painter and later worked for Dowell oilfield services. Dannie was a loyal and longstanding employee of Higgins & Sons roof truss company for over 30 years. He was a skilled craftsman who enjoyed landscaping and working on his farm in his spare time, as well as spending time with his grandchildren.
Dannie went to be with his heavenly Father on December 26, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father; Herbert Morse of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Surviving Dannie are his mother; Tellie Williams Morse of Fort Smith, Arkansas, his wife; Judy Fallin Morse of the home in Tecumseh, Oklahoma, his daughter; Tiffany Green and her husband Kenny and their four children; Kendal, Scotlyn, Londyn and Krew, his son; Daniel Morse and his wife Cassy and their two children; Logan and Daniel Lane, his sister; Linda Morse Harris and her husband Gary of Springdale, Arkansas, his brother; Anthony Morse and his wife Donna of Fort Smith, Arkansas, his nephew; Eric Harris and his wife Tina Harris of Springdale, Arkansas, his nieces; Autumn Morse Mendenhall and her husband Corey and Amanda Morse Jarboe and her husband Michael of Greenwood, Arkansas and numerous other family and friends.
Viewing for Dannie will be from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
A Celebration of Life Service for Dannie will be held at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Don Warden will officiate the service.
Masks and social distancing are required for those attending the viewing or funeral.
Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
