Daniel Edney, 74, longtime Seminole, Oklahoma resident, died Monday, April 2, 2018 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Daniel was born July 25, 1943 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Charlie Edney and Marjorie (Wilcox) Edney. Daniel grew up in Seminole and attended Seminole Public Schools. Daniel lived in Seminole most all of his life until he moved to the Harrah, Choctaw area about 9 years ago. Daniel was a coast to coast truck driver for over 46 years, which he enjoyed very much. He had also worked for many years in the Seminole oilfield for many years for several different companies as an oilfield truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and especially being with his grandchildren. He would rather joke with you more than anything else. He loved people and being with them. Daniel is survived by his wife Judy Edney of the Home, his children Tami Edney of Eufaula, Oklahoma, Tina Verel and her husband Jason of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Dan Edney and his wife Lisa of Chandler, Arizona and Kenneth Harjo and his wife Kenya of Vernon, Texas, step-children; Tommy Wilkerson of Mannford, Oklahoma, Viola Wilkerson of Shawnee, Oklahoma; his grandchildren Kenneth, Candi, Corey, Jacie, Judy Dawn, Kristi, Terry, Johnathon, Joey and Sean, his great-grandchildren; Alicia, Brooklyn, Zackary, Tristin, Adrian, CoreyLee, Zailey, Yazlin, Jordyn, Peyton, Angel, Jazzy, Layla, Isiah, Maggie, Hunter, Aiden and KJ. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Joyce Deck, his nephew, Mike George, and the mother of his children, Ginger Edney and his son Danny Ray Edney. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Friday, April 6, 2018 at the Chapel at Little Cemetery with Guy Cagle officiating. Casket bearers will Kenneth Harjo, Candi Trejo, Tommy Wilkerson, Johnathon Wilkerson, Sean Wilkerson, Randy O’Neal.
