Dana Patricia (Ramey) Haddican, 91, passed away, Sunday, December 31, 2017. Dana was born on February 21, 1926 in Burlington, Iowa, to Earl Frazer Ramey and Mary (Woods) Ramey. Dana graduated from Seminole High School and earned at Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Oklahoma College for Women (now USAO), followed by graduate work at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma, and Fort Hayes University at Hayes, Kansas. She was a high school teacher at the Satanta High School in Satanta, Kansas for 31 years. She married William Paul Haddican on Liberal, Kansas on May 26, 1950. He preceded her in death on March 12, 2010. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Seminole, Oklahoma, United Methodist Women, the Order of the Eastern Star- Lakin, Kansas Chapter. She was a life-time member of the National Education Association. Dana is survived by one daughter Mary Patricia Haddican of St. John, Kansas and one son Earl Ramey Haddican of Earlsboro, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the Strothers Memorial Chapel at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole, Oklahoma, with Rev. Mark Watson officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Oklahoma Food Bank-Seminole, Oklahoma and the Seminole Humane Society Animal Shelter.
