Dale Anthony Stokes

Dale Anthony Stokes, age fifty-eight and a long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2011. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.  Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa is in charge of the cremation. Dale was born on February 25, 1953 in Lindsay, California to Clarence Stokes and Tennie Estelle (Nobles) Stokes.  He graduated from Konawa High School and was a truck driver. He is survived by two sons, Ronnie Stokes and wife Crystal Stokes of Guthrie, Oklahoma, and Travis Stokes of Seminole, Oklahoma; three brothers, Charles Stokes of Wellston, Oklahoma, Harold Stokes of Cushing, Oklahoma, and Randy Stokes of Konawa, Oklahoma; three sisters, Debbie Harbor of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, Louise Reeves of Santa Rosa, California, and Sue Hatchell of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Tennie Stokes; one brother, Paul Vandever; and one sister, Wilma J. Bogel.
