Dale Gene Pease

August 16, 1936 — August 10, 2021

Dallas, TX

Dale Gene Pease was the sixth child of James Lester & Flora May Pease, born in Seminole, Oklahoma on August 15, 1936.

Siblings and their spouses include: Theda and Jack Landrith of Earlsboro, Oklahoma. Thaddeus was a brother that was still born. Levaughn “Sonny” and Fran Pease of Belvidere, Illinois. Myra and Eddie Lawson of Long Beach, California. Damon and Dolores Pease of Mustang, Oklahoma. Linda and Jimmie Jones of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Sonnie and Gerald Presley of El Reno, Oklahoma.

Dale loved his Seminole Chieftains. He played wingback, number 15, on the 1953 state champion team. Graduating in 1954.

Dale met and married Zekeah Atyia in Seminole and always considered the Atyias to be his siblings. Hammet Atyia of Seminole, Oklahoma; Betty Atyia of Seminole. Haney and Sonia Atyia of Midland, Texas. Shirlene and Henry Pratka of Prague, Oklahoma. Freid and Pat Atyia of Seminole. Norma and Bill Murray of Prague. Doug and Judy Atyia of Seminole. JoAnn and Floyd Howell of Prague.

Once out school, Dale went to work in the oil fields, then into the United States Army. He trained as a rifleman, anti-aircraft gunner, and drove 2 ½ ton trucks. He was stationed at Schofield Barracks in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Using his GI Bill, Dale completed a degree in engineering and went on to work for Phillips 66 in west Texas then a full career with AT&T, in Oklahoma City then transferred to Dallas. Retiring in 1986 as their chief industrial engineer.

Dale and Zekeah had one child, Sean Dale Pease, of Dallas. Sean married Tammy and they had two children, Shelby and Chance. Dale’s grandsons were his pride and joy. Shelby is engaged to Meagan, and Dale really wanted to be able to attend their wedding next fall, however, the LORD had better plans.

Dale’s story would not be complete without our beautiful Judy. She came to Dallas in the early 1970s to take care of Sean, but soon became family. Judy placed Zekeah and Dale’s lives ahead of her own for so many years. Providing them care, love, and comfort. Judy’s care allowed for Dale to remain in the home he loved until God provided him with better accommodations.
