Cynthia "Cindy" Compton

Cynthia Gay (Melton) “Cindy” Compton, 55 year old longtime Seminole, Oklahoma resident passed from this life on Monday, June 12, 2017 at her home in Seminole.  She was born July 13, 1961 in Kirkwood, Missouri. Following her high school graduation, Cindy went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Accounting. On July 15, 2000, Cindy married John Edward Compton, sadly he preceded her in death on July 4, 2016. Cindy worked as an accountant for Devra’s Tax and Business Consulting in Seminole. Cindy is survived by her mother, Elsie Melton of Fenton, Missouri; by one daughter, Lasey Compton of Norman, Oklahoma; 4 brothers, Jerry Myers and his wife Gale Myers of St. Louis, Missouri, Mark Myers of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Paul Melton and his wife Deborah Melton of Sullivan, Missouri, Scott Melton and his wife Kimberly Melton of Muskogee, Oklahoma; 1 sister, Janet Klefisch of Arnold, Missouri; one grandson, Laidan Jon Keochantanivong; and a host of other family and dear friends. Cindy was preceded in death by her father, James Melton in 1995, by her husband John Compton on July 4, 2016 and by three brothers, James Melton Jr., John Melton and Thomas Melton.
