Curtis Tippin

Curtis Ray Tippin was born on February 27, 1938 to John and Mary Tippin in Holdenville, Oklahoma. He worked in pipelining with his father and brother traveling the United States. He also worked in the ODOT bridge division, owned a salvage yard and inspected bridges until he was in his 70’s. He loved being outdoors, fishing, hunting, golfing and working in his garden. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Lou Tippin, two children Tracy Tippin-Majors with Mark Majors and Kent Tippin and two step children David Philpot  and Randy Philpot. He is also survived by his sisters, Melba Tippin and Phyllis Kunkle and her husband Ernie. Curtis has 10 grandchildren and 17 great children. He is proceeded in death by his father John Tippin, mother Mary Tippin and brother Cecil Tippin. Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Rev. Wesley Martin officiating the service.
