Corine Johnson, 79 year old, lifelong Seminole, Oklahoma resident passed from this life on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at her home in Seminole. She was born June 12, 1935 in New Lima, Oklahoma to parents, Matt Warrior and Janetta Sango. She attended school in New Lima. Later in life she moved to Seminole. That’s where she met Ceolous Johnson. Corine and Ceolous married and they had seven children. Corine was a homemaker for several years and later she worked for Grannie Fern’s Restaurant for several years. She worked for the Heritage House here in Seminole for many of years until she retired. She loved her family. Her kids and grandchildren were her prized possession. Corine loved cooking for everyone. She would open her house up for anyone who needed a place to stay. Preceding her in death is her husband Ceolous Johnson, Sr., Matt Warrior her father, Janetta Sango her mother, Effie Holloway her sister, Lois Warrior her sister, Kaiser Warrior her brother, Beatrice Warrior her sister, Harry Larney her nephew, Napoleon Warrior her brother. Survivors include, one sister, Mary Lu Warrior of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, three sons, Ceolous Johnson, Jr. of Seminole, Oklahoma, Grover Johnson of Seminole, David Johnson and his wife Marla of Bethel Acres, Oklahoma, four daughters, Joyce Johnson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Cassandra McNeely of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Yolanda Simon and her husband Leroy of Shawnee, Oklahoma, TiJuana Johnson of Seminole, Oklahoma, Cheryl Halloway a niece from Topeka, Kansas, Tarrall Freeman a nephew of Wewoka, Oklahoma, Kelly Holloway a nephew of Wewoka, Oklahoma. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Memorial services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 8, 2014 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole.
