Corey Fletcher

Corey Allen Fletcher, 37 year old life long Maud resident passed from this life Friday, May 25, 2007 at Seminole Medical Center. He was born June 21, 1969 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to parents Jennings E. "Joe" Fletcher and Shirley L. (Horner) Fletcher.rnrnCorey graduated from Maud High School in 1989 and worked at "Faith 7" in Shawnee for several years. He was always very involved with the Special Olympics where he had received several medals. Corey was also a member of the People's First Church in Shawnee. He had also been a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Maud, Oklahoma.rnrnCorey is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Barry & Jennifer Fletcher of Maud, Oklahoma and by one niece, Ashley Fletcher of Maud, Oklahoma.rnrnCorey is also survived by a host of other family and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Fletcher who died on July 19, 2002, his father Joe Fletcher who died on December 5, 2005, one sister, Jacqueline Deane Fletcher and one brother, James "Neil" Fletcher.rnrnFuneral Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at the Maud First Baptist Church with Rev, Carl Whitfield officiating assisted by Rev. Brad Hawkins.rnrnInterment will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud, Oklahoma.rnrnCasket Bearers will be; Steve Fletcher, Rob Fletcher, Jeremiah Fletcher, Cary Fletcher, Mike Stalnaker and Tommy King.rnrnHonorary Bearers will be; Larry Fletcher, Terry Fletcher, Doug Horner and Bo Horner.rnrnThe family has designated The Special Olympics as appropriate for memorial donations.rnrnServices are under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home in Maud, Oklahoma.
