Longtime Seminole resident, Cleve Chandler passed away, Monday, July 31, 2006 at the age of 84. He was born on September 7, 1921 in Seminole County to William D. and Retha Mae (Wintz) Chandler. rnrnChandler served in the US Army Infantry in the Western Pacific Theater. He received three overseas service bars, Asiatic Pacific Western Medal with one, Bronze Star, Good Conduct medal and earned the Purple Heart on Mortai Island in New Guinea. rnrnHe married his wife of 56 years, Louise Arner on March 18, 1950. rnrnAfter 23 years of employment at Tinker Air Force Base he retired and moved back to Seminole in 1972.rnrnHe was preceded in death by his parents, a son Russell, and grandson Timmy Stanford. rnrnChandler leaves to cherish his memory his wife Louise of the home, daughter Christie Stanford of Del City, Oklahoma, sister, Ruby Miller of Pink, Oklahoma, grandchildren, Amy, Angela, Justin, Brandi and Ronni. He is also survived by four great grandchildren, several newphews and nieces, cousins, friends, and his beloved pet Josie.rnrnPallbearers will be Dewey Lee, Fred Presley, Ed Bender, Ken Jackson, Doyle Nix, and Terry Nix. Honorary bearers, Elbert Brown, Johnie Malone, and the men of Trinity.rnrnFuneral Services are scheduled for 10:30am, Friday, August 4, 2006 at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Rev.
