Cindy La Dene Barker

Cynthia La Dene Barker, “Cindy” was born in Gridley, California to parents Jim and Peggy Sorrell on October 12, 1961, and passed away on January 18, 2025. 

Cindy spent most of her life in northern California. She graduated from Chico High School and was a bookkeeper by trade. For the last 18 years, she has lived in Seminole, Oklahoma. Cindy served in the US Army at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. While there she met and married another soldier, Don Bailey. From that union a daughter was born, Christina Bailey. She later married Sam Barker but was single at the time of her passing. She was an avid animal lover and hot lots of joy loving, caring for, spaying and neutering abandoned dogs and cats. 

Cindy is survived by her parents, daughter, Christina Timberlake, granddaughters Amaryah Downs, Grave Timberlake, Way Timberlake, two dogs and five cats. 

No service is planned at this time. A family burial will be held in the near future.
