Chipper “Chip” Simpson, 55 year old, Seminole, Oklahoma resident passed from this life August 19, 2015. He was born September 9, 1959 to Ida Lucille (Williams) Simpson and Curtis Walter Simpson in Okemah, Oklahoma. Chip went on to attend Okemah High School. Chip worked for 26 years as an industrial mechanic. He was currently working as an electronic controls tech at Jindal Films. Chip loved to fish. He also had a passion for restoring vintage amplifiers. He was an accomplished musician and an amazing vocalist. He always enjoyed spending time with his family and loved people. Chip was always the wise guy, jokester and life of the party. His humor and laugh were infectious. When he smiled, you smiled. Chip married Brandy Lindemann on June 12, 1992 in Okemah, Oklahoma. Chip is survived by his wife of 23 years, Brandy Simpson of the home; one daughter, Amanda Simpson; two sons, Ricky Simpson and Quint Simpson; two granddaughters, Lexi and Taylor; one grandson, Jaiden; one brother, Gerry Simpson of Castle, Oklahoma; three sisters, Linda Martin of Okemah, Oklahoma, Brenda Welborn of Coweta, Oklahoma, Panna Kelley of Wagoner, Oklahoma; and a host of other family and dear friends. Chip was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Walter Simpson; his mother, Ida Simpson Sherrick; by his step-father, John Sherrick; and by one grandson, Matthew Simpson. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 24, 2015 at Victory Christian Center located at 702 South 9th Street in Okemah, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Eufaula, Oklahoma with Pastor Donnie Knight officiating the service. Casket Bearers will be: Ricky Simpson, Quint Simpson, Bobby Amos, Larry Moses, Matthew McGlothlin, Trey Jordan and Brian Simpson. Honorary Bearers will be: Gerry Simpson, Shane Bowling, Mark Been, Roger Welborn and Charles Jones. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Chip Simpson.
