James ?Chester? Brinker, 89 year-old lifelong Seminole resident passed from this life Saturday, November 10, 2007 in Seminole, Oklahoma. He was born October 29, 1918 in Nowata, Oklahoma to parents Pearl (Marler) Brinker and Lawrence Brinker. Chester served in the United States Army during World War II.rnrnChester married Ethelda Stubbs on November 8, 1945 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Chester wored as a welder and then after his retirement he along with his wife worked as cattle ranchers and farmers. He was a member of the Church of the First Born in Shawnee, Oklahoma.rnrnMr. Brinker leaves to cherish his memory one son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and his wife Edna Brinker of Seminole, Oklahoma.rnrnOne daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and her husband John Nicholson of Seminole, Oklahoma.rnrnOne sister and brother-in-law, Avis and her husband Delbert Bradford of Granbury, Texas.rnrnFour grandchildren and their spouses: Kevin and wife Jade Brinker of Seminole, Jason and wife Missy Brinker of Seminole, Shelley and husband Arvey Howell of Nashville, TN and Tracy and husband Chris Carrell of Seminole, Oklahoma.rnrnTwelve great-grandchildren: Nicholas Brinker, Trevor Brinker, Jacque Sinor, Brian Sims and Chandler Carrell all of Seminole, OK; Jessica Waldron & John Waldron of Tecumseh, Ok; Garrison Carrell of Mustang, OK; Taylor Howell, Houston Howell, Nate Howell and Blake Howell all of Nashville, TN.rnrnOne great-great grandchild, Desirae Waldron and another great-great grandchild is expected in December.rnrnChester is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 57 years Ethelda Brinker who died April 30, 2002. Two sisters, Pauline Ledford and Omagine Brinker and two brothers, Rodney & Calvin Brinker also preceded him in death.rnrnFuneral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at the Historic Strothers Chapel located in Maple Grove Cemetery.
