Cherlene Yarbrough

Cherlene Faye Yarbrough, 70 year old lifelong Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life on Monday, December 18, 2017 at Seminole Hospital.  She was born February 11, 1947 in Seminole to parents Jack Jones and Lavern Jordan Jones. Cherlene attended Seminole Public Schools. She was a homemaker who loved to camp, fish, ride motorcycles, but most of all she loved her family gatherings. On July 27, 1967 Cherlene married Terry V. Yarbrough in Ada, Oklahoma.  Cherlene and Terry grew up being childhood friends and sweethearts. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Terry Yarbrough of the home; one son, Danny Lee Yarbrough of Seminole, Oklahoma; two daughters, Kimberly Yarbrough of Bakersfield, California, Tamara K. Yarbrough of Seminole, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends. Cherlene is preceded in death by her parents, by one brother Jackie Jones and by one sister Billie Johnson. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma with Rev. Danny Napier officiating the service.  Interment will follow at Tate Mountain Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be: Joshua Yarbrough, Jackie Jones, Robert Hurt, James White, Terry White and Nicole Kidwell. Honorary Bearers will be: Matthew Schuh, Richard Schuh, Chance Medlock, Daniel Douglas, Michael Medlock and Doyle Brooking. The family has requested donations be made to Swearingen Funeral Home 1001 N. Milt Phillips Ave. in Seminole, Oklahoma 74868 in memory of Cherlene Yarbrough.
