Charlotte Steward

Charlotte Sue (Boone) Steward, 73 year old Sulphur, Oklahoma and former Maud, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life Friday, March 8, 2019 at Arbuckle Memorial Hospital in Sulphur, Oklahoma.  She was born November 30, 1945 to parents Frank Boone and Wanda L. (Wiggins) Boone. Charlotte graduated in 1963 from Nowata High School in Nowata, Oklahoma. On December 20, 1985 Charlotte married Darwin Steward in Farwell, Texas. Charlotte worked as a cook at Maud schools and she and her husband Darwin owned and operated Steward’s furniture and second hand store on Hwy. 177 in Shawnee. Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Darwin Steward of the home; by her mother-in-law, Iva Steward of Meeker, Oklahoma; by her brother and his family, Frank Boone and his wife Sandra; by her sister-in-law, Peggy Phillips and her husband Tim Phillips of Meeker, Oklahoma; her nephew, Wayne Boone and his kids, Alex, Skyler, Daniel, Dale and Sinira; her niece, Alicia Boone and her children, Elijah and Katara; nephews, Tony Phillips and his wife Brittany, Scotty Phillips and his wife Sarha; great-niece, Anna Phillips; and by many cousins and other family and friends. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Wanda Boone, by her father-in-law, Darvin Steward, by her paternal grandparents Venrdi and Bill Boone, by her maternal grandparents Nell and Birdie Wiggins Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Friday, March 15, 2018 at Gable Cemetery located on the southeast corner of 1060 Rd. and 3480 Rd. between Meeker and Prague with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating the service. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
