Former longtime Seminole resident Charles Roy Roberson passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at the age of 54. Charles was born on August 18, 1955 in Duncan, Oklahoma to James Roy and Pauline Opal (Rice) Roberson. Charles graduated from Edmond High School and attended one year at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. Charles had a love for music, he played the organ and piano very well; he also loved to compose music.  He was a very wise person who made friends easily and had a love for his dogs.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Charles leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Pauline Roberson of Shawnee; sister, Linda Lawyer of Shawnee; brother, David Roberson of Seminole and sister-in-law, Marie Roberson of Midwest City, Oklahoma.  He is also survived by a host of other family and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his father, James Roy Roberson and brother, James Ernest Roberson. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel, 1001 North Milt Phillips Avenue in Seminole with Dr. Paul Calmes officiating.
